VS Elten - extension of the compressor station on behalf of NETG

Already in October 2020, FRIEDRICH VORWERK was awarded the contract for the expansion of the Elten compressor station as a general contractor service.
VS Elten is currently operated by Nordrheinische Erdgastransportgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG (NETG) with three natural gas turbines. In order to meet the requirements of the 13th Federal Immission Control Ordinance (BImSchV) regarding reduced emission limits for gas turbine plants with a firing capacity of more than 50 MW, the machine unit 1400 was already retrofitted with an SCR system in 2015 and the decommissioning of machine unit 1100 and 1200 was notified to the licensing authority by the end of 2023.
Therefore, NETG ordered a new machine unit (ME1300) from MAN Energy Solutions SE, which is to ensure the future transport tasks.
The additional central natural gas cooler and the new expansion system with station blower and natural gas flare, as well as the balancing measurement system, are part of the general contract, as is the associated infrastructure with machine hall, unit building and the EI&C plus control technology.
The execution is being planned by our department in Tostedt, supported by the planning capacities of EEE and BoDo. For the EMSR technology, MESA is firmly integrated in the project.
Currently, the production of the 35m high station blower at BoDo in Wiesmoor, the natural gas cooler at Kelvion Thermal Solutions in Nantes (France), the transformers TMC in Busto Arsiro (Italy), valves up to DN 400 at RMA Rheinau GmbH & Co. and valves from DN 400 to DN 900 at Franz Schuck GmbH are already realized.
With a delay of 3.5 months due to missing permits, we were able to start on the construction site by means of pre-approval with the erection of the site equipment area on June 14, 2021.
