The basis for our decades of success is the synthesis of state-of-the-art technology and the knowledge and experience of more than 1,800 qualified employees at 13 locations in Germany and Europe. This gives us the security of our own competence and makes VORWERK one of the most efficient German companies in complex pipeline and plant construction for network operators, industry, municipalities and energy suppliers.

1962
Foundation of the contract dredging company Kleesch & Vorwerk by Friedrich Vorwerk and Wilhelm Kleesch in Tostedt.

1972
The company is renamed FRIEDRICH VORWERK KG.

1975
Establishment of another pipeline construction company in the then zonal border area in Lüchow by Friedrich Vorwerk.

1990
Establishment of the third FRIEDRICH VORWERK pipeline construction company in Halle (Saale).

1997
Establishment of the Irene and Friedrich Vorwerk Foundation to finance and implement social projects. Friedrich Vorwerk receives the Lower Saxony Order of Merit on ribbon.

1998
Passing on of the company by Friedrich Vorwerk to the three managing directors Klaus-Dieter Ehlen, Hanjürgen Grabner and Peter Tödter.

1999
Death of the company founder Friedrich Vorwerk.

2001
Expansion of the energy engineering sector through the founding of VORWERK Pipeline- und Anlagenservice GmbH in Halle and the takeover of ASA Gesellschaft für Schweißarbeiten und Rohrleitungsbau GmbH in Herne, which subsequently continues to operate independently under the name VORWERK-ASA GmbH.

2002
Integration of the Lüchow company, which is subsequently continued as a branch, into FRIEDRICH VORWERK KG (GmbH & Co.) Tostedt. With their different fields of work, the four companies together form the FRIEDRICH VORWERK group of companies.

2006
Accidental death of long-time managing director Peter Tödter.

2007
Torben Kleinfeldt joins the group as a new shareholder.

2008
VORWERK launches hydrogen strategy and realises large-scale implementation of the first green hydrogen electrolysis plant in Germany.

2012
European Pipeline Services GmbH was newly founded on 01.07.2012 by the shareholders Einhaus Anlagenservice GmbH and FRIEDRICH VORWERK KG (GmbH & Co). The company has since taken over the activities for the testing and inspection of pipelines and plants from Einhaus Anlagenservice GmbH.

50th company anniversary in Tostedt.

2013
Merger of FRIEDRICH VORWERK Rohrleitungsbau GmbH & Co. KG in Petersberg into FRIEDRICH VORWERK KG (GmbH & Co.) in Tostedt.

2015
Establishment of another VORWERK Pipeline- und Anlagenservice GmbH location in Tostedt, which specialises in servicing biogas upgrading plants.

2016
25th company anniversary in Halle (Saale).

2018
Appointment of Kevin Loots as the new Managing Director of the FRIEDRICH VORWERK Group of Companies.

Acquisition of the plant engineering company EAS to complement the Energy Engineering business area and acquisition of MESA to expand competence in the area of electronic measurement and control technology.

2019
Acquisition of Bohlen & Doyen to expand capacity in the field of energy grids and engineering as well as additional technological expertise in underground power cable construction and HDD drilling (horizontal & directional drilling).

Acquisition of Energy & Environment Engineering (EEE) to expand the technology portfolio for specialised flow measurement (OrQa®), which subsequently continues to operate independently under the name VORWERK-EEE GmbH.

2020
Restructuring of the group of companies under company law by founding FRIEDRICH VORWERK Group SE and FRIEDRICH VORWERK Management SE.

2021
Acquisition of KORUPP GmbH to expand our portfolio in the field of cathodic corrosion protection.

IPO of FRIEDRICH VORWERK Group SE. The share has been listed in the Prime Standard of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange since 25 March 2021.

Acquisition of the GOTTFRIED PUHLMANN Group to open up new regional markets and additional growth potential in the electricity and district heating market.

2022
Acquisition of Hempel Aluminiumbau GmbH (HALU for short) to expand our expertise in the field of enclosures for gas pressure regulating stations and complete our entire value chain.

2023
SKS Straßenbau GmbH is renamed Gottfried Puhlmann Hamburg GmbH in order to bundle all activities in the areas of road and cable line construction in the Hanseatic City of Hamburg and the surrounding area in one company. 

Retirement of our long-standing Management Board member Klaus-Dieter Ehlen. 

Relocation of our headquarters in Tostedt from Niedersachsenstraße 19-21 to the new building at Harburger Straße 19, 21255 Tostedt.

2024
Acquisition of Seyde und Coburg Kathodischer Korrosionsschutz GmbH in April 2024 to further expand the FRIEDRICH VORWERK Group's range of services in the field of cathodic corrosion protection.

Move to Ludwigsfelde into the new company headquarters of Gottfried Puhlmann GmbH Havelländische Bauunternehmung, FRIEDRICH VORWERK SE & Co. KG, MESA Elektrotechnik and VORWERK-EEE GmbH.

In September 2024, Alexander Hutt began his work as a new member of the Executive Board at FRIEDRICH VORWERK SE & Co. KG.
